　　Total station Company will introduce you the basic operation and use method of Jettronics DGM series of total station:

　　1.Horizontal angle measurement

　　(1)Press the angle measurement key to make the total station in the angle measurement mode and aim at target A of D;

　　(2)Set the horizontal dial reading in direction A to 0°00′00″;

　　(3)Focus on the second target B,and the displayed horizontal dial reading is the horizontal angle between the two directions.

　　2.Distance measurement

　　(1)Before setting the prism constant for distance measurement,the prism constant must be input into the instrument,and the instrument will automatically correct the measured distance.

　　(2)Setting atmospheric correction values or temperature and pressure values,the propagation speed of light in the atmosphere will vary with the temperature and pressure of the atmosphere.15℃and 760mmHg are standard values set by the instrument,and the atmospheric correction at this time is 0ppm.

　　During actual measurement,the temperature and pressure values can be input,and the total station will automatically calculate the atmospheric correction value(or directly input the atmospheric correction value),and correct the ranging results.

　　(3)Measure instrument height and prism height and input them into total station.

　　(4)The distance measurement is aimed at the center of the target prism,press the distance measurement key,and the distance measurement starts.When the distance measurement is completed,the display shows oblique distance,horizontal distance,and elevation difference.There are three ranging modes of total station:precision measurement mode,tracking mode and rough measurement mode.

　　Precision measurement mode is a commonly used range measurement mode for Z,with a measurement time of about 2.5S and a small display unit of 1mm for Z;Tracking mode,commonly used for tracking moving targets or continuous ranging during lofting,with a small Z display of 1cm and a ranging time of about 0.3s each time;Coarse measurement mode,measurement time is about 0.7S,Z small display unit is 1cm or 1mm.During distance measurement or coordinate measurement,different ranging modes can be selected by pressing the ranging mode(MODE)key.
